My name is Amy and I have a dream.
One day, in the not-so-distant future, I will turn the key in my front door and walk into a home that is totally me. I will look around the rooms of my house and no matter where my eye lands, it will rest on an object that brings me joy.
I want someone to be able to walk into my home and know who I am. I want my house to declare "This is Amy." From the largest piece of furniture to the smallest spoon and everything in between, I want, not to just have a lot of things, but to have things I love...things that make me smile...things that fit exactly right.
Nostalgic Cake is a space to document my continuing efforts to make that dream come true.
Hopefully, you'll find some kind of inspiration here as well, whether in the actual pieces I share, or in deciding to finally get started on making a home that tells others who you are.
